She promotes spiritual and physical centeredness. Good nutrition, stretching and physical activity for the total well being and health of all are a vital part of her teaching. She believes that focus and self-discipline of training oneself in an art or talent is key to enriching our lives

Through belly dance, her love and thirst for information about people of all cultures has grown. She has a burning desire to connect with and really learn about the individual people of the various cultures. Dance can help us appreciate how diverse and individual each person within each culture is.  History, political religion and economy exert a major influence on the types of dance and music that comes into vogue or disappears.

Students find the classes helpful for exercise, body sculpting, and positive image. Her classes consist of stretching exercises, warm-up and detailed instruction in posture, proper positioning and precise moves. . She teaches choreography as a way to blend moves and improvisation as an outlet of the creative centers of the heart and soul

"I'm an ex-dancer, 55, with a hip replacement and an old neck injury. I've just begun studying bellydance in the last couple of months. This is the first time I've been able to stay with an exercise regime in many years that a) gets great results b) does not insult any of my old injuries and c) is fun, inspiring and empowering. I haven't had this kind of core strength in years (bellydance training seems to accomplish things that situps never could for me) and my self-esteem is moving to the healthiest place it's been in many years!  What a great way to feel feminine, powerful and healthy, not to mention the joy of seeing my waistline curve inwards . . ."   Susan, Phoenix, AZ
