Since
1988, DaVid of Scandinavia has devoted his time and effort to
achieve a high level of technique and cultural quality in the
traditional and modern dances of
India
and the Middle
East.
DaVid is one of the leading male dancers and instructors
within his field. His name is synonymous with excellence,
professionalism and enthusiasm in the dance. DaVid is known
for artistically developed choreographies, rich with cultural
content, as well as his spontaneous ability to improvise. His
East Indian heritage and cultural knowledge add to his merits.
DaVid
has presented and performed at cultural, commercial and
charitable events and venues around the world. He has been
involved in several projects to represent, preserve, develop
and improve the level of Middle Eastern and East Indian
dances. He has been featured in video productions by the
prestigious International Academy of Middle Eastern Dance
(IAMED) and Pe-ko Records. In 2006, DaVid became the first
male instructor to ever be featured on an IAMED instructional
DVD. |

Kathryn Ferguson's

renowned dancer, choreographer and
teacher
Kathryn
Ferguson captures the
power and soul of Oriental dance
She
inspires dance students and cabaret audiences in
North
America,
Europe,
Turkey,
Australia
and New
Zealand.
Miss
Ferguson's unforgettable style blends classical elegance,
strict adherence to traditional Mideastern technique, and
subtle interpretations of music and its "silences." Combining
technical skill with her captivating stage presence, Kathryn
is able to impart intimate feelings to her audience through
movement. Reviewers have described her dancing as having
"natural dynamism" and "sensuous vibrancy." Two award
winning films featuring American Modern Dance companies have
resulted from Kathryn's energy and creative talents (as
creator/producer and as assistant director, respectively).
These works have been presented on American television and in
European festivals. |
| Nadia
of Las Vegas is an accomplished perfmer, choreographer
and instructor. She has a BA in both Dance Studies and
anthropology from the University
of Nevada,
Las
Vegas.
In 2003 Donna studied abroad at the
University
of Ghana,
West
Africa
where she immersed herself in the traditions of African dance
and culture. The
previous year, Ms. Machon who taught Middle Eastern dance at
the UNLV Dance Department, was the recipient of the
departments Mitzi Huges Scholarship for her commitment and
contribution to the study of dance. In addition she was
selected to perform at the Edinburgh International Fringe
Festival in Scotland
for a one-month engagement. Donna is currently earning her
masters degree in the area of education. She has taught and
studied a variety of dance forms for over twenty years. She
hopes to continue her studies abroad, with a focus in cultural
art studies. |

Hall
of Fame in honor of her contributions in dancElegance,
glamour, and grace characterize the dance style of the
dedicated dancer Carmen Evans. During her extensive career in
New
York,
Carmen is well known as a teacher, performer, costume designer
and choreographer.
After earning her B.A. in dance education, Carmen began
intensive study with Bobby Farrah, Elena Lentini and Yousry
Sheriff. She
operated her own studio and taught in many community
schools. She
danced at all the major night clubs in the tri- state area as
well as the United Nations, cruise ships, and countless
corporate and private functions. She was dance captain
of the famous
Darvish
and Cedars of Lebanon night clubs. For two years she
performed with the Ramzi el Edlibi Dance Company. She then co-founded
Oriental Images Concert Group which presented sophisticated
Middle Eastern dance programs to educational groups and the
general public.
She also served as consultant coach to other dancers
and groups. Carmen has taught dance seminars across the
U.S. In 1995, Carmen
founded Fantasia Araby Dance Concert Group and established her
Arabian Dance Arts Studio In 1997, Carmen was
inducted into the American
Academy
of Middle Eastern Dancer’s Hall
of Fame in honor of her contributions in
